Dandy Time

Have you ever made dandelion leaf salad?  If not, you have got to try it.  Dandelions are tasty and packed with vitamins.  I am sure you’ve heard … the deeper the green the healthier they are for you.   Ever since I was a kid I loved eating them.  How to: First, find plants that have not flowering.  If they have flowered the leaves will taste bitter.   Cut off the leaves from the plant using scissors. Then wash the leaves in a colander.    Being a vegetarian, I like to add fake bacon, red onion, and sunflower seeds on the leaves and add Italian dressing.  Enjoy!
